Our puppies have proven themselves in many different environments: as lgds, family protectors, and companions.
Gioia lives in Ohio on a farm with goats, pigs, geese, ducks and chickens. Her parents love her, they say she's smart and persistent, and O so sweet. "Gioia is I think the happiest puppy I've ever met. She's like a warm little hug and is acclimating well with the 2 older LGDs on the farm."
Gioia is going to follow in her OG Mama Goa's footsteps as a 5 star LGD.

Monk's mom says he's "Charming, Funny, and STUBBORN ( not a typical Estrela at all cough cough) and fits in great with his 2 mini Schnauzer brothers." His family waited on him quite awhile and we couldn't imagine a better home for this stunning Viva pup. We love following along with him on IG and watching him grow up.
Salty Toni is our sweetheart living her best beach life, in Long Beach NY. Her mama says: "She is curious,
friendly and all around sweet (a little sassy too, but we like it).
Thank you again for working with us and being patient. She’s simply perfect. Her name is Toni (named after Jeorge’s Dad who passed away last year). We love her!"
She's snuggly with our daughter and still very confident.

I love how much these breeders love their puppies. My Estrela Puppy came so well-adjusted and smart. She is everything I was looking for.
Damari went above and beyond to choose us the puppy that matched our expectations. They were wonderful in person and so easy to work with. Highly recommend.
We needed a guardian dog that we could trust with our kids, livestock and other dogs. Would 1000% recommend this breeder's genetics.
We love our Zeke and our veterinarian loves him too! He is thriving and we couldn't be happier!
Sydnee's Owner Says: Meet Sydney. She is truly amazing. So smart, and lovely how she came pre-programmed with some amazing traits. You did an amazing job raising her! So easy to house train and crate train.
Sydney is the talk of the town. Everyone that meets her loves her, and tells me how well behaved she is when we are out. She's a tough guard at home, though. Our Vet thinks she’s so lovely and they love when we visit. She’s over 80lbs now! When we walk in the neighborhood, people actually pull their car over to the side to meet and ask about her, and complement her on how awesome and beautiful she is.
Likes: hiking, toys, doggie dates
Not a Fan: puddles, yoga cancellations

EMDs should be a deterrent and not an agressive guardian. Learn more here.
EMDs are normally tolerant of cats if they are exposed to them early.
Yes. They do, but you can train them not to bark incessantly.
Fuga da Ponta da Pinta came to us from Portugal, one of the only short-haired working Estrela's in the USA, and daughter of GL Working LGD lines. She is one of our biggest females, with the biggest heart to match. An excellent instictive guardian, never aggressive in pack and always pulling more then her weight on the job. She's our #1 babysitter and teaches our puppies invaluable dog skills. We owe her.
Genoveva affectionately called our "Viva da Vida" is as energetica as her name promised. From the day she walked out of the cargo crate and into our arms she was fearless and ready to take over the world. She's the kinda girl that never had an ugly stage, never misses a salon appointment (or an argument) and not afraid of throwing shade. She's an excellent guardian, alert for ariel predators, and a favorite with the kiddos.
Sazon de Casa de Taveras is a dark-phased brindle girlie from our 2024 litter. She is bold, sassy and affectionate. We're considering keeping her as a future program female, but for now she is learning all the things with us and the adult Estrela's. No signs of same sex agression, RG, unneccessary barking or escaping. Her personality is as gorgeous as her rare, brindle coat.
Valiente da Quinta Moinhos das Almas: the Papi, the Macho, the Brave. Our grey, brindle, male that is responsible for the beautiful coats, personalities and health of a good number of your puppies. He is fully OFA tested with great results, and he has a personailty that befits a male Serra da Estrela. He adores the human kids, tolerates his own, and holds down the fort whereever he's needed. He's not aggressive, but he's not to be underestimated. He handles business with dignity, fearlessness and a giant bark that warns you he can.
Lagoa da Acinomagricultura: Beauty and Brains with a side of Estrela suspicion and persistent affection. It's Goa's world here, we just live in it. She gave us the beautiful grey Maribel and Merengue, and so many vital contributions to the USA gene pool. She's the best mama, and the best pack bitch. Zero same sex agression, zero resource guarding, she insists that everyone get along and we haven't lost a lamb to predation since she hit the paddocks at 11 months old.
Maestro de Duke de Burgo was a long awaited (years in progress) dream come true. The last son of the great Matriarch Laica de Burgo and son of the excellent Tarzan, he represents well. The "Maestro for the Maestro" named after G's Olympic wrestling days...he's already fulfilling expectations. Great working instincts, doesn't bark without cause, calm and fearless. With the structure to match. He's growing into his giant feet so fast.
