Our Estrela Mountain Dog puppies are raised on a working  farm, where they’re exposed to a variety of sights, sounds, animals, and people from an early age. They’re socialized with cats, other dogs, livestock, children, and friendly strangers to build confident, well-rounded temperaments. Each puppy completes Puppy Culture like protocols and the Volhardt Personality Test to help ensure a smooth transition into their new home. We also introduce foundational training, including auto-sit (“mend”), early recall, potty training, basic obedience, and crate skills.

All puppies will receive age-appropriate vaccinations, be microchipped, and dewormed at 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks. Each puppy comes with a veterinarian-issued health certificate confirming they are free of illness and congenital defects at the time of purchase.

Our  Estrela Mountain Dogs are health tested for hip and elbow  dysplasia and screened for a range of genetic conditions, including : Thyroid Disease, Dentition Issues., Loose Patellas, Degenerative Myelopathy, and Dilated Cardiomyopathy.

Yes. Our puppies come home with a  health guarantee against serious congenital defects that may affect quality of life or result in life-threatening conditions. We also provide a 12-month guarantee against hip dysplasia. In the event of a qualifying issue, buyers will be offered a replacement puppy from an upcoming litter.

Your puppy will have access to our personal trainer at a discounted rate of $2,500 per month for our comprehensive puppy training program—an exceptional value compared to typical board-and-train rates that often start at $1,000 per week. Our program is home-based and includes exposure to children, other dogs of all sizes, and a variety of animals. The focus is on building a well-mannered, obedient puppy with solid house manners and real-world socialization. That can go on to be a family companion/guardian or equipped livestock guardian dog.

Your puppy will go home with a thoughtfully prepared go-home bag that includes essential items such as a health certificate, microchip information, AKC registration, and signed puppy contract. You'll also receive a blanket carrying the scent of mom and littermates, a leash and collar, toys, and a supply of transition food to ease the adjustment. Every puppy also comes with an Individualized Success Plan (ISP), which outlines breed education, training recommendations, and support tailored to help you and your Estrela thrive together from day one.
